Saint Clair
Vicar's Choice

Creamy citrus and white nectarine flavours with a weighty and well-rounded palate.

Matt Thomson and Hamish Clark

Pale gold.

Hints of lemon, biscuit, honey, caramel and cinnamon combine to offer a seductively appealing wine.

The creamy palate has citrus and white nectarine notes with nougat and a hint of spice. This wine has good weight and length and finishes dry.

Ageing potential:

Drinking well now and will continue to develop complexity over the next few years.

The grapes were harvested at optimum ripeness and fermented in 50 per cent stainless steel and 50 per cent seasoned oak barrels. Each parcel went through malolactic fermentation to soften and round out the palate. Each was assessed after fermentation and selected for this blend, then had several months lees aging before being blended and prepared for bottle.

Fruit was chosen from a selection of vineyards across the Marlborough region from a variety of different clones. This careful selection of fruit contributes to the complexity of the wine.
