Vicar's Choice
Pinot Gris Bright Light

A lighter way to enjoy a fresh and luscious Marlborough Pinot Gris.

Matt Thomson and Hamish Clark

Light gold.

Lifted fresh floral notes, baked apple and pear crumble, a touch of cinnamon and spiced ripe apricot.

Fresh and baked apple combines with a hint of ripe pear and apricot sweetness. The finish is dry, refreshing and luscious.

Ageing potential:

Made to drink immediately, this wine will continue to reward for three to four years.

Fermented in stainless steel, the fermentation was stopped with nine grams per litre residual sugar to balance the natural acidity and add richness. The wine was lightly fined and filtered prior to bottling.

The grapes were harvested at optimum flavour ripeness but before the sugar level was too high. This allowed a lower alcohol wine to be produced.

Wine Analysis:

Alcohol: 9.5% v/v, Titratable Acidity: 6.10 g/litre, Residual Sugar: 8.60 g/L, pH: 3.49.

Food match:

With its lower alcohol this wine is ideal as an aperitif or luncheon wine and also well matched with white meats and cheeses.
