Pinot Gris

Medium bodied with a refreshing palate of ripe pear and a touch of bread crust.

Pale gold.


Lifted aromas of pear and apricot are supported by underlying spice and delicate floral notes.


Medium bodied with refreshing flavours of ripe pear combined with a touch of bread crust. The wine is well balanced and has a long, lingering finish.

Ageing potential:

Drinking well now and will continue to develop more opulence over the coming 3 or 4 years.


After pressing and cold settling the juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures to enhance purity of flavour. To add complexity and mouthfeel, a small portion was fermented in old oak barrels and underwent malolactic fermentation. The resulting wine was blended and stabilised before being carefully prepared for bottling.


The fruit was sourced from a mix of Wairau Valley and Awatere Valley vineyard sites harvested at optimum flavour ripeness.

Wine Analysis:

Alcohol: 13.50% v/v, Titratable Acidity: 5.70 g/litre, Residual Sugar: 3.10 g/L, pH: 3.47.

Food match:

A great complement to rich white meat dishes and spiced Asian foods.
