Omaka Reserve Chardonnay 2007
A deliciously full-bodied and rich wine with complex stone fruit flavours and a touch of spice.
Aroma:An intense and complex nose with aromas of white peach and honeysuckle and subtle oak savoury bacon notes.
Palate:A deliciously full-bodied and rich wine with complex stone fruit flavours and a touch of spice, supported by underlying savoury oak notes and subtle yeast autolysis characters. The palate is elegant and full with firm acidity and a lingering finish.
Ageing potential:Perfect for drinking immediately, this Chardonnay will age well bottle with careful cellaring up for to four years from vintage date.
Viticulture:The fruit for this wine is made up of small batches of fruit from Saint Clair’s own Omaka vineyard, planted with Clone 95 and the Mendoza Clone.
Alcohol: 14% v/v, Titratable Acidity: 6.5g/litre, Residual Sugar: 2.9g/litre, pH: 3.52.
Food match:Perfect with seafood with rich creambased sauces or lightly spiced Thai chicken currries.
