Saint Clair

An elegant and supple wine showing floral aromas with flavours of apricot, melon and citrus fruits.

Elegant aromas of citrus blossom, lychee and honeycomb.


Full, oily and rich with flavours of apricot, ripe white melon and an underlying spice. This wine has a full yet elegant palate and a balanced, long, lingering finish.

Ageing potential:

Perfect for drinking immediately this wine will be at its best over the next four years.


Grapes were pressed with minimal skin contact. After settling, almost one third was then fermented wild in old French oak while the remaining volume was fermented cold in stainless steel to retain fruit flavour and freshness. Once blended the resulting wine was then carefully prepared for bottling.


Fruit was sourced from a single vineyard in the Godfrey’s Creek sub-region in the Wairau Valley. The selected block was harvested when it had reached maximum flavour maturity and physiological ripeness.

Wine Analysis:

Alcohol: 13% v/v, Titratable Acidity: 7.0g/litre, Residual Sugar: 2.5g/litre, pH: 3.49.

Food match:

This wine is an ideal match with scallops, chicken and cream based curries.
