The 2010 Pinot Noirs were outstanding with Saint Clair leading the way with no less than 4 Top Tip Awards. .....All of the Saint Clair Top Tip winners came from their Pioneer Block range and we would suggest that you can't go wrong with any wine from this range but that our favourite was Block 16 Awatere Pinot Noir. Bravo

“Ripely scented, fleshy and rounded, this is a deliciously well –balanced wine with good acid spine and concentrated, dried-herb aromas and flavours."
Michael Cooper, John Belsham & Kate Radburnd, Cuisine, 31 January 2006

"Explosive flavours of passion fruit, lime and underlying gooseberry are balanced by mouth watering acidity that flows through to the delicious lingering finish. As much as it is a powerful Sauvignon, it is also impressively elegant showing the class we have come to expect of Saint Clair wines."
5 Stars, April 2006

“Pungent, crisp and exuberant with vivacious grassy flavours paving the way for a tropical fruit fantasy tinged with a splash of lime.”
NZ International Wine Show 2005
