Saint Clair 2007 Sauvignon Blanc Wines Scoop Gold Medals and a Trophy

Saint Clair Estate Wines is maintaining its position as New Zealand's leading producer of Sauvignon Blanc after receiving four gold medals and a trophy at the Liquorland Top 100 2007, reinforcing the top quality of their 2007 vintage.

The four gold medals and trophy were awarded to the following:
• Saint Clair Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2007 - TROPHY
• Saint Clair Pioneer Block 2 Swamp Block Sauvignon Blanc 2007
• Saint Clair Pioneer Block 3 43 Degrees Sauvignon Blanc 2007
• Saint Clair Pioneer Block 11 Cell Block Sauvignon Blanc 2007

This comes straight after Saint Clair’s Wairau Reserve 2006 won a German Award “Mundus Vini” (or gold medal) at this year’s MUNDUSvini Great International Wine Award, one of the most prestigious wine awards in the world. It is held annually in Neustadt an der Weinstraße in Germany. Over the course of two weeks, some 180 well-known international wine experts taste more than 4,000 wines from all over the world. Saint Clair picked up a special award: ‘Best White Wine New World’.

Saint Clair Estate Wines was founded in 1994 and has received a multitude of prestigious awards and trophies from around the world. The company now has six significant regional vineyard sites and excellent knowledge and experience of which varieties grow best at each site. A high-tech, state of the art, winery opened in March 2006, dramatically increasing production capabilities. This family-owned Marlborough winery is experiencing phenomenal success on an international and domestic level.
