Saint Clair Family Estate is enjoying consistent wine show success in 2012, not just in New Zealand but around the world. This time it is the Sauvignon Blanc varietal which has once again proved a winner for the family-owned Marlborough winery.

27/02/12: Saint Clair Success at Sydney International Wine Competition

The Sydney International Wine Competition announced trophy winners on Saturday afternoon that included two major trophies for Marlborough winery Saint Clair Family Estate. The Saint Clair Pioneer Block 5 Bull Block Grüner Veltliner 2011 was awarded the trophy for the Best Wine made from a Lesser Recognised Grape Variety and Saint Clair Family Estate was awarded the trophy for the Most Successful Entrant of Competition.

22/02/12: Showers of Gold for Saint Clair Family Estate

Consistent wine show success flows into 2012 for Saint Clair Family Estate across a range of varietals. New Zealand’s 2012 Royal Easter Show wine awards has announced the family-owned Marlborough winery has achieved highly acclaimed gold medal status for five different wines. The shower of gold further cements its reputation as a leading New Zealand wine producer.

08/11/11: Saint Clair Family Estate Wins Winestate Winery of the Year

Saint Clair Family Estate shone once again at the Winestate Wine of the Year 2011 official awards presentation in Auckland today where they were awarded the highly acclaimed New Zealand Winery of the Year trophy. This is the second consecutive year that Saint Clair Family Estate has been awarded this prestigious trophy.

20/09/11: Saint Clair Family Estate Pinot Noir Trophy Win at Marlborough Wine Show

Of the 46 wines judged to be “excellent” from a total of 424 entries, there were only 19 grand trophies up for grabs at the inaugural Marlborough Wine Show 2011 celebration dinner held on Saturday night at Marlborough Vintners Hotel. Saint Clair continues to excel, winning the Champion Pinot Noir 2011 and 2010 trophy with the Saint Clair Pioneer Block 14 Doctor’s Creek Pinot Noir 2010. This is the third trophy this year awarded to Saint Clair Family Estate for the Pinot Noir varietal.

A widely recognised New Zealand international commercial wine show has seen Saint Clair Family Estate excel with its newly released Sauvignon Blanc wines from the 2011 vintage. The New World Wine Awards 2011 launched its results today, announcing the top 50 medal-winning wines.

11/07/11: Speigelau Success for Saint Clair Family Estate

Saint Clair Family Estate celebrates trophy success at the inaugural Spiegelau International Wine Competition 2011. The ultimate award – Champion Winery of the Show - was awarded to Saint Clair Family Estate (shared jointly with Charles Wiffen and Church Road). In addition, Saint Clair Family Estate also won the Champion Sauvignon Blanc trophy, which was awarded for the Saint Clair Pioneer Block 3 43 Degrees Sauvignon Blanc 2010.

06/07/11: Saint Clair Winemaker Hamish Clark Rises to the Challenge

Family owned Marlborough winery Saint Clair Family Estate has announced the promotion of Hamish Clark to join Matt Thomson as joint winemakers, heading the Saint Clair winemaking team. Both Matt and Hamish have been an integral part of the Saint Clair success story with Matt being involved since its inception in 1994 and Hamish joining the team and working alongside Matt since 2001.

The San Francisco International Wine Competition - the largest and most influential international wine competition in America – has recently announced its awards, which are judged by a panel of prestigious recognised wine experts on a blind, consensual procedure.

20/06/11: Saint Clair Family Estate Excites Growers at 2011 Vintage Tasting

Excitement for growers and staff surrounded the Saint Clair Family Estate new vintage 2011 Sauvignon Blanc tasting, where new wines were tasted following the successful selection based on wine quality. The vineyards/growers producing the highest quality for Saint Clair’s small parcel Pioneer Block wines were announced at the tasting, as well as a grand trophy presentation for the grower who produces the highest quality for the iconic Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc. All growers received three bottles of wine from their own vineyard, providing the opportunity to taste and compare with the best.
